Mixed-mode modeling for top-down circuit design and verification

Abstract Simulation times may be reduced while maintaining simulation accuracy if one utilizes mixed-mode and behavioral modeling. In many cases these models are natural within a top-down/ bottom up design style. The main thrust of this paper is that mixed-mode modeling (behavioral modeling plus event handling) is a useful tool even for pure analog components for obtaining fast, accurate models.
