This paper focuses on thermal power generation using parabolic trough collector, which concentrates the power from the sun and converts it to thermal energy, which is used in thermal process. Steam turbine followed by generator used to convert thermal energy to mechanical energy and then to electrical energy. To be able to achieve the desired power from thermal using parabolic trough the total area must be known. A number of calculations used in order to calculate the number of collectors needed and the total effective area. Then an Integrated Solar Combined Cycle were introduced at Garri station and analyzed for two cases of adding the solar field to the plant. Various simulations are carried out using E-tap modeling program to show the performance and effectiveness of the generated electricity.
