This paper describes human factors research performed recently by the Korean Atomic Energy Research Institute. Development of human factors technology, a long-term project for human factors research in nuclear power plants, is a major project. The following research has been performed in this project: the development of a human factors experimental facility; the development of an operator task simulation analyser; and the analysis of human error cases together with the development of some applications. This research is described here. Two other small projects for the evaluation of a nuclear power plant system design and the development of human factors design evaluation guidelines are also described briefly.
