Application of intelligent control methods in automobile AMT system

Aiming at the problems of control of throttle,determination of clutch engagement starting point and the optimal shift schedule in the automated mechanical transmission (AMT),the intelligent control methods,which are the multi mode control,the fuzzy logic controlled and the self learning control, are discussed in this paper. The practical application in AMT system used in a SANTANA 2000 car shows that these methods are feasible,and also proves that intelligent control technique is practical and advanced for control system of vehicle.
