Analysis of connected patch arrays using the characteristic basis function method

We have developed CBFM for a class of connected-patch array antennas. Good performance in accuracy and efficiency has been obtained and scope exists for further improvement in efficiency. The technique has enabled detailed study of a prototype antenna and analysis of larger arrays.
