Synchronization of Chaotic Systems with Parametric Uncertainty Using Terminal Sliding Mode Adaptive Control

By applying terminal sliding mode control technique and selecting exponential reaching law,a terminal sliding mode controller is synthesized, and then applied to synchronization of a class of chaotic systems with mismatched parametric uncertainties.Furthermore,a simple adaptive law is introduced to on-line estimate the parameter bounds. This design scheme eliminates the reaching phase of sliding mode control, and the synchronization system states stay on the sliding surface all the time. Therefore, the time of synchronization is shorten comparing with the ordinary sliding mode control. The simulation of Duffing-Holmes system is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
