Noninvasive measurement of blood glucose based on optical sensing

This paper describes a new noninvasive measurement of blood glucose based on an optical sensing. This uses Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of attenuated total reflection. Measurement of blood glucose in in-vitro was carried out by using a whole blood samples. Thereafter, noninvasive measurement was carried out by using 10 subjects. This paper also shows the noninvasive measurement accuracy for glucose contents and describes practical application of this method.
