We hope you enjoy this sixth Policy Paper in the Vodafone series in which we are delighted to be joined by Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks in this collaboration on mobile transactions. This partnership is particularly apt since mobile transactions is a prime example of an issue that requires effective cross-industry cooperation. Our aim in these papers is to provide a platform for leading experts to write on issues in public policy that are important to our industry. These are the people that we listen to, even if we do not always agree with them. These are their views, not ours. We think that they have important things to say that should be of interest to anybody concerned with good public policy. To keep the environmental impact of this document to a minimum, we have given careful consideration to the production process. The paper used was manufactured in the UK at mills with ISO14001 accreditation. It is 75% recycled from de-inked post consumer waste. The document was printed in accordance with the ISO14001 environmental management system. All the steps we have taken demonstrate our commitment to making sustainable choices.
