Hypermedia: Influence of Interactive Freedom Degree in Learning Processes

One of the most promising grounds for teaching within the evolution of new technologies of information and communication is, in our opinion, the existence of documental data bases for hypermedia exploration. Thus, it appears to us justifiable that we begin, since now, to examine what hypermedia technology has of most profitable — Interactivity. We believe to be fundamentally important to find out to what extent this interactivity can and may play a relevant role in learning processes. This paper concerns an experiment we have carried out in which a simulation in hypermedia was attained, based on all potentialities of HyperCard, a simulation of a visit to “Palacio da Bolsa” in Oporto which provided information about the consequences of interactive freedom degree in learning.
