경남 밀양지역 재실건축의 건축적 특성

This study is about architectural characteristics of Jaesil architecture in Miryang, Kyung-Nam. According to the documents, the origin of Jaesil architecture in Miryang was at the beginning of 16C, and existing buildings were established after the early 18C. The golden age of Jaesil construction lasted from the late 19C to 20C. The location of jaesil was much closer to a villiage than to a graveyard. Inside the Jaesil, Sadang was frequently found. Its plane structure was mostly composed of five rooms in front and one lateral room along with Jeontoi. The structure mostly followed Mindori form of three chambers, and it was someties decorated by remodeling Soro. According to the changes in ancestral rites held before the grave, more ancestral rites are began to be carried out in Jaesil.
