A UnifiedModel For AuxiliarySwitchCommutated DC-DC Converters

A novel ZVSauxiliary switch commutated variation forallDC-DCconverter topologies hasbeenproposed in2006. Withproper designation ofthecircuit variables (throw current Iandthepolevoltage V),alltheseconverters areseentobe governed byanidentical setofequations. Withidealized switches, thesteady-state performance isobtainable inananalytical form. Theconversion ratio oftheconverter topologies isobtained. A generalized equivalent circuit emerges foralltheseconverters fromthesteady-state conversion ratio. Italso provides adynamic modelaswell. Withthesegeneralized steady-state equivalent circuits, small signal analysis ofthese converters maybecarried outreadily. Itenables onetousethefamiliar state space averaged results ofthestandard PWM DC-DCconverters fortheresonant counterparts. Th dcandacmodelsreveals thatdcandlow frequency behaviour oftheproposed family ofconverters is similiar tothatofitsPWM parent.
