To mitigate the impact of vehicle to grid(V2G) operation of battery swap station(BSS) on protection and automation devices for distribution network, firstly the impacts of V2G operation of BSS on feeder terminal units(FTU) based feeder automation and recloser-fuse coordination based feeder automation fault processing process are analyzed; then according to the basic reason causing the impacts an active control strategy for BSS is proposed. The active control strategy contains two parts: one is the strategy for BSS to distinguish and cope with the fault occurred in distribution network composed of overhead line and cable line, and the other is the coordinated control strategy for all chargers/dischargers in the BSS under distribution network fault. Based on PSCAD software a simulation model of feeder automation is constructed, and the impacts of BSS adopting the proposed active control strategy on feeder automation are simulated. Simulation results show that using the proposed active control strategy for BSS the output current of BSS during distribution network fault can be effectively reduced, thus the troubles of reclosure failure of the recloser in FTU based feeder automation system and the misjudgment of faulty section as well as the coordination failure in recloser-fuse coordination based feeder automation system can be solved, besides, the proposed control strategy possesses better control performance under various distribution network faults.
