Integrating spatial information and business processes: the role of organizational structures

Spatial data infrastructures (SDIs) have been developed in many countries worldwide and are now accepted as an essential infrastructure in modern society (Crompvoets, Rajabifard, et al. 2008). However, a plethora of disparate approaches regarding definitions, objectives, assessments, and analyses of SDIs can be found in the literature. Because SDI is such a multifaceted, dynamic, and complex concept (Grus, Crompvoets, and Bregt 2007), some CONTENTS
