Multi-criteria decision making methods

The quality of decision-making is always dependent on the quality of information about issues, which is available to the person making a decision about them, and on the suitable classification methods enabling the best solution selected from the set of all available solutions. Three multi-criteria decision making methods are dealt with in this paper: the Simple Additive Weighting Method (SAW), the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution Method (TOPSIS) and the Simple Additive Ranking method (SAR). With these methods, it is possible to put in order a set of possible solutions based on their preferences from the best to the least quality. The results acquired with the help of these methods are compared and analysed here.
