Nodular fascitis of the maxilla in a child.

Nodular fascitis is an uncommon benign tumor-like condition consisting of proliferating fibroblasts or myofibroblasts. It typically presents as a rapidly growing subcutaneous nodule. Cranial fascitis of childhood is a rare variant of nodular fascitis.1 It occurs in relation to the cranial bones of young children and is associated with marked erosion of bone. It can cause diagnostic problems because of its rapid growth and bone erosion, which mimics a malignant tumor. We present a case occurring in relation to the maxilla of a young boy.
