The need for a programming discipline to support the APSE: where does the APSE path lead?

Many of us recognize that Ada* has tremendous potential as a common state-of-the-art high order language whic h provides features to support the software development process. We also recognize that pursuit of' the Ada Programming Support Environment (APSE) will enable us to build tools to support such a software developmen t process . However, we will not realize the full potential of Ada until we are able to define a software developmen t methodology complete with management practices which can in turn be supported by automated tools .
