Sentential Subjects in English and Norwegian

Resume Dans cette contribution, il s’agit de determiner la position structurale du sujet phrastique en anglais et en norvegien. Nous argumenterons en faveur d’une variation entre les locuteurs concernant l’acceptabilite du sujet phrastique en position initiale en anglais. Pour certains locuteurs, le sujet phrastique occupe la position sujet canonique. Pour d’autres, il occupe une position topique a la peripherie gauche de la phrase. En norvegien, le sujet phrastique ne peut jamais occuper la position sujet canonique, ce qui ressort des proprietes de cette langue germanique comme une langue V2. Il s’ensuit qu’on peut identifier differentes positions pour le sujet phrastique selon les langues.
