Towards a universal schema for conference schedules

Conference and event schedules are published in an ad-hoc fashion with no publishing standard. The goal of this paper is to propose an open universal XML-based format to represent conference schedules. The paper also reports on the design and implementation of a reference application that is able to render conference schedules adhering to this format.
