This explozatory c, mpounding development progrLm was conducted for the purpose of obtaining suitable modif: rs for the crosslinkin, and reinforcing of triazine elvstomers. The reinforcing effects of a v.riety of finely diviIed materials are compared. Data are presented showir.g th Affec~tofonnh' 'trationofthP asbestos ., . fill-r hbuhlhd. results) on the physical properties and thermal stabilitiis of a poly (perfluoropropylene (perfluoro 1ropyl) triazine] gum and a blend comprised of equal parts of the gum aad a poly [perfluoropropylene (per'luoropropyl) triazine] reE-in. Several organonetallic and organic comvounds were found to be effective cro.slinking a•nr.i for nyly [rnprfbn•nnt-•h•tehylen (perfluoropropyl) triazi,•e] and n-perfluoropropylene cyanide modified poly [perfluoro-. octamethylena (perfluori-propyl) triazine] elastome s. The physical p-opertius and thermal resistance of chemically vulcanized gums and asbestos reinforced vulcanizates based on the n-perfluoropropylene cy, aidQ modified and unmodified poly [perfluorooctamethyl, ne (perfluoropropyl) friazine] gums are discussed in detail.
