Static strength and mode simulation for the A-type aluminum alloy car body structure of metro vehicle

Aluminum alloy coach bodyworks of metro vehicles applied to satisfy lightweight design demands must have fine static and dynamic characteristics to insure the security and reliability of vehicles. Particularly analysing the car body structure of A-type aluminum alloy metro vehicle, a finite element model matching the structural mechanics characteristics of the body was built by means of reasonable simplification to the actual geometric structure. The model-based analysis for the static strength and the mode simulation to the car body structure were done at different working conditions referring to domestic and overseas technical standards. The results show that the static strength conforms the relative requirements and the mode vibrating frequencies satisfy the dynamic design demands.
