Discussion on Reliability Terms and Defenitions Related to Power Generating Equipment

The paper introduces American and Chinese standards concerning terms and defenitions related to reliability of power generating equipment, discusses coincidence and discrepancies of corresponding technical terms with respect to state of operation, output capacity, timing, electric energy concepts as well as calculation formulae for reliability evaluation. This may provide some scientific footing for revision of reliability terms of power generating equipment, and also for choosing proper statistical methods.
