Application of artificial neural network and GIS to water quality eva luation

The water environment quality appraisal is an importa nt groundwork for the water environment management and protection. Based on anal yzing key problems for water quality evaluation, the artificial neural network t heory is introduced to solve automatically the determination of weight; and the comprehensive evaluation of water quality and trophic development of East Lake is carried out by using the BP improved model and GIS. The results show that thi s method has obvious merits in objectivity, practicability and adaptability.
