Calibrating the input accountancy tanks on THORP

This paper describes the complex trials that were begun during the early stages of the commissioning of the THORP facility in the United Kingdom. These trials were to ensure that accountancy systems would be fully characterized. In particular, the instrumentation associated with the head-end accountancy tanks is discussed. A description of the system is given, and the calibration of the level and weight instruments associated with these tanks is discussed in detail.
