A Research Based on Log Current Spectrum for Experiment Approaches to Diagnosis of Motor Broken Rotor Bar Fault

When the motor is frequently started or subject to an alternating load due to load shock, the broken rotor bar faults can easily occur. For this problem, the motor broken rotor bar current signal is obtained through the motor broken rotor bar fault experiment. The logarithmic spectrum analysis of the current signal is carried out to effectively extract the characteristic frequency of the broken rotor bar fault under different working conditions of the motor. Simulation and experimental results show that the method can accurately identify the motor broken rotor bar.
