Communication network for atm cell transfer and atm cell transfer method

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To trace the mobile body user and to decide its position by using plural re-allocatable exchange nodes connected via high speed back polling so as to deliver ATM cells in the sequence order. SOLUTION: A LAN 20 is made up of plural nodes 22 each called as a portable base station(PBS) and a high speed radio (including optical communication) link 24 tying the PBSes. A 1st user going to send data to a 2nd user is related to its source node and a 2nd mobile user receiving the data is related to its destination home node. When the connection is established between the 1st mobile user and the 2nd mobile user, an ATM cell is delivered from the 1st mobile user along a fixed path to a source home station PBS 22 and delivered along a fixed path to the destination home station PBS via the link 24.
