The good guys

p sychotherapists tried to thinkof themselves as good guys, particularly whenthey minister to the poor, doing long hours of treatment for relatively low wages. And yet, all therapists know that in seeking alleviation for emotional suffering, the poor get the same kind of service they always get. The hdp they are offered is always insufficient, often inadequate, and ultimately less geared to their needs than to those of "the good guys." As Brecht points out:
