This paper presents a new mixed integer programming model for multi period production planning in a shop with multi assembly products. We design a multi level structure of assembled products, such that we would be able to consider the flow of operations based on each succeeding operation on corresponding machine. The aim of this research is to obtain the desired lot size of products for minimizing setup cost, holding cost and back order cost. To show the effectiveness of the proposed approach, a numerical example is solved and analyzed with varying demands of products.
