THEY CAN LIVE TOGETHER : MANHOLES AND SNOWPLOWS

This article describes how the Swatara Township in Pennsylvania solved their elevated manhole problems with the application of a patch treatment. The process involves cleaning the manhole cover area, heating and drying it with a torch, spreading melted material around the cover, and finally heating the edges to seal to the existing pavement. The patch is effective in tolerating anti-skid treatment, salt, and snowplows in particular.
