Fuzzy querying for Microsoft Access

A fuzzy querying system for Microsoft Access, a Windows-based database management system, is presented. It is based on the authors' FQUERY, already implemented for XBase, which allows the user to employ queries with fuzzy values and relations in the conditions, and also fuzzy linguistic quantifiers (e.g. almost all, most, etc.) to determine how many conditions (e.g. most) are to be fulfilled. Basically, the system was implemented by extending the Query Design Toolbar in the Query Design window, and developing (in Access Basic) a library of functions covering FQUERY's capabilities.<<ETX>>
