Development of the magneto-electrolytic-abrasive polishing system (MEAPS) and finishing characteristics of a Cr-coated roller

Abstract A magnetic-electrolytic-abrasive polishing (MEAP) system was newly developed and the finishing characteristics of a Cr-coated roller were analyzed. The paper describes the operational principle of the MEAD system and the magnetic field effect on the MEAD process using experimental results. The finishing characteristics and optimal finishing condition for the Cr-coated roller were experimented upon and analyzed.
