Progressive Addition Lenses: History, Design, Wearer Satisfaction and Trends

Progressive addition lenses are currently the state of the art in multifocal correction for presbyopia. This paper discusses the trade-offs inherent in progressive lens designs; adaptation to and the measurement of progressive lenses; as well as current and future trends in the industry.
