CORRELATION BETWEEN SAYBOLT-FUROL VISCOSIMETER AND THE BROOKFIELD SYNCHRO-LECTRIC VISCOMETER FOR MEASURING VISCOSITY OF CUT-BACK ASPHALTS (WITH DISCUSSION)

The Tennessee Highway Research Program Advisory Council, in the early 1960s, authorized a project for the purpose of studying various methods of measuring asphalt viscosity. In view of the interest of asphalt technologists in obtaining kinematic viscosity measurements, the aim of this research then, was to evaluate several existing methods of measuring viscosity as related to the needs of the Tennessee Department of Highways.
