A Novel Method for Constructing Phylogenetic Tree Based on 3D Graphics

The Bio-information is updating very fast.The application of visual method in the analysis of DNA sequence has become a focus in bioinformatics research,and the methods of using graphics to represent the DNA sequence has been well developed.This paper proposes a new method for constructing phylogenetic tree based on 3D representation of DNA sequence [B.Liao,Chemical Physics Letters 388(2004) 195-200].First the DNA sequence is transferred into 3D curves,and the corresponding non-negative symmetric matrix is calculated.Secondly,the new invariant C to characterize the sequences is calculated,and the relative evolutionary distances obtained.Thirdly,a phylogenetic tree is constructed based on the hierarchical clustering algorithm.Evolutional relationships of twelve HA(H5N1) genomes of different avian influenza virus have been successfully identified.
