Performance Analysis of Quadrate Framework Rogowski Coil

Quadrate framework Rogowski coil,which is made up of four coil-wrapped sticks,is presented.The calculation model of Quadrate framework Rogowski coil is founded theoretically.By means of the software MATLAB and model(framework section area 80 mm2,length of coil-wrapped segment 50mm,coil diameter 0.27mm,circle number of one stick 180),measurement errors brought by carrying conductor place change(slant and excursion) and electromagnetic interference are simulated.Vertical interference is easy to eliminate,so parallel interference is considered here.Simulation results show that with framework dimension being decreased the anti-interference performance of Rogowski coil would be improved.For accurate practical Rogowski coil,the dimension parameters should be determined by considering all three errors synthetically.Three coils are manufactured.Framework of the first coil is wrapped partly;the second is wrapped by magnetism material at four corners;the third has coil-wrapped framework fully.The measurement errors of three coils are compared,including conductor slant and excursion errors and parallel interference error.The conclusion is drawn that accuracy will be improved if coils is fully wrapped to framework.In order to obtain better accuracy,two manufacture arts(wrapping magnetism material at four corners and framework being coil-wrapped fully) can be combined practically.
