A generalized treatment of mutual coupling compensation for ESPRIT

The ESPRIT algorithm has been shown to be an effective solution to the angle of arrival estimation problem. One possibility for the implementation of ESPRIT is the use of a linear array to provide for the sensor pairs. A technique is discussed for compensation of mutual coupling effects between array elements. Computer simulation demonstrates a significant improvement in performance.<<ETX>>
