TRAFFIC INJURIES IN SKARABORG ON THE BASIS OF STATISTICS FROM THE HEALTH SERVICE AND THE POLICE

In this investigation an analysis was made of those injured in traffic who were treated by the health service in Skaraborg, i.e. the former Skaraborg County excluding Mullsjo and Habo Municipalities. The investigation which relates to 1998 comprises treatment by casualty departments and byergency departments on call, health care premises and dental clinics. The analysis was performed by municipality, mode of transport, accident type, age group and sex. The investigation also made use of official traffic accident statistics and linked up two statistical sources. (A)
