Map Transformation and Rectification for Navigation by Global Positioning System Positioning

Algorithms about map transformation and rectification navigation by GPS positioning are introduced in this paper.It is reasonable to fit navigation map coordinates with two or more than two powers polynomial to a certain extent of area.Accuracy of 8 m for coordinate X and 17 m for coordinate Y for map rectification with a GPS navigation test has been reached.The method can be applied for GPS vehicle navigation.
