Preliminary Study of Orbital Angular Momentum Spectrum Detection for Celestial Light

In astronomy orbital angular momentum (OAM) of light has never been detected neither exploited as carrier of astrophysical information. We present a preliminary study of OAM-spectrum detection using an OAM mode sorter for optical telescopes.
