Temeljno energetsko renoviranje - unapređenjem energetske efikasnosti, toplotnom pumpom i FN-integracijom ka zgradi ”nula energije”

The paper presents the results of the building energy optimization of the Central Institute for Conservation – a cultural heritage building, an office building situated at Terazije 26/ Balkanska 7. The optimization includes the following activities: energy efficiency increase of the building envelope and the entire building structure, HVAC&R system as well as all other technical and technological services of the building, which represents one of the most important elements when defining the design assignments, not only when designing new buildings, but also when designing the reconstruction of the existing ones. Energy efficiency and the meeting of strict criteria of allowable amounts of specific total energy consumption as well as specific energy consumption in order to meet individual demands per unit of the building’s useful surface area represent the requirements the fulfillment of which is a part of the legally defined requirements for the approval of a design and a building permit. By achieving the energy performance standards higher than those prescribed and by approaching the energy efficiency performance of the same to those of “Zero fossil energy“ buildings, we can establish an approach to sustainable “Zero CO 2 emission“ buildings as well as housing projects (settlements) and towns. Energy efficiency optimization included the consideration of numerous measures aimed at reduction of energy demands, a series of possibilities to reduce energy consumption when meeting such reduced demands, possibilities to introduce new environmentally clean technologies and renewable energy sources. In the conclusion of the paper the author presents the economic analysis results and classification of the building category (rank) according to the Regulations on Building Energy Efficiency ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia ", issue No. 61/2011), and the Regulation on Requirements, Contents and Manner of Issuing Buildings Energy Performance Certificates ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia ", No. 61/2011) /62/.
