A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF SATURATED SYSTEMS WITH APPLICATION TO FIGHTER AIRCRAFT FLIGHT CONTROLLERS

Abstract Based on some recent results in regional stability analysis of saturated linear systems, the focus of this paper is to extend the notion of stability to that of performance in a practical way. To this purpose an original method, inspired by the H 2 framework is presented. The effectiveness of our approach is demonstrated on a real-world - open-loop unstable - fighter aircraft example combining both amplitude and rate saturations.
