OMG Specifications for Enterprise Interoperability

Enterprise Interoperability is a term that describes a field of activity with the aim to improve the manner in which enterprises, by means of information and communications technology (ICT), interoperate with other enterprises, organisations. To meet these challenges, enterprises are today looking into enterprise architectures. The Object Management Group (OMG) is an international, open membership and not-for-profit industry consortium, which develops enterprise integration standards for a wide range of technologies and provide modelling standards to support enterprise architecture. In this paper we give an overview of the newest OMG modelling standard initiatives with respect to enterprise architecture.
