Exploiting RSOA for Uplink Transmission with Coherent Detection for Low Cost UDWDM-PON

Upstream phase modulation exploiting low cost reflective semiconductor optical amplifier (RSOA) at ONU is applied for simplified coherent detection through DFBs as local lasers at ONU and at OLT.
