Predicting Students' Involvement in Blended Learning Environment

It is very important to know students' involvement in the classroom. Nonetheless, it becomes challenging for a teacher to predict the same in real-time, particularly when the classroom is large. Assuming blended learning platform in BYOD paradigm of teaching-learning process, we propose a method to systematically predict students' involvement in the classroom without using the privacy sensitive data. Initial observations indicate that it is possible to predict students' involvement from their device handling pattern and resource utilization while interacting with the devices.
