Machine Tool Vibration Fault Monitoring System Based on Internet of Things

To solve the problem such as the difficulty in node wiring and noisy vibration information in the traditional machine tool vibration monitoring system, a machine tool vibration fault monitoring system based on Internet of Things (IoT) is studied and established. According to the characteristics of the star topology network, a wireless ad hoc network protocol is designed based on the handshaking communication protocol and the absolute survival time. In order to filter the noise of the vibration information in real time and monitor the gradual faults of the machine tools online, a simplified Kalman filtering algorithm is achieved on the sink node. An application example applied to the ball screw of CNC-lathe indicates that the monitoring system could monitor the machine tool vibration fault effectively.
