This paper presents thedesign ofalow-cost physical parameter measurement device usedtomonitor useful parameters likeheartrate, temperature, bloodpressure, bloodoxygen saturation, etc.ofa humansubject. Thesemeasurements are wirelessly transmitted toareceiver whichsends outanalarmif anyofthesevaluesareoutoftheexpected predicted measurements. Thisdevice consists ofawrist unitincorporated withtheelectronics forthesensors andaremote PCfordata logging andalarm. Thedevice consists ofsensors that detect ifthe userneeds medical attention andsends outanalarm toeliminate theneedfor acaregiver tomonitor thepatient allday. Thedevice isintended toprovide continuous medical monitoring without causing inconvenience totheusertobeable towearitallthetime. Thesensors usedprovide measurements fortheheartrate, temperature, bloodoxygensaturation and impact. These measurements areinanalog formsoamicrocontroller isusedto convert themintodigital formandperform therequired signal manipulation toprovide themonitoring.
