고령친화제품에 대한 사용성 평가 방법

Recently, old population rapidly goes on increasing in number. In particular, the ratio of old people exceeded 7.2% in 2000 and it is predicted the ratio will exceed 10% in 2010. So, it is very important to develop and evaluate senior friendly products due to increasing in old population. In the past, most of companies didn’t have any interests for the development of senior friendly products because of its marketability. In these days, the increase of old population aroused national and company’s interest and made the situation that development and study for senior friendly product could actively be carried out. In particular, the elder’s degraded physical and cognitive ability brought up the necessity of ergonomic study in the development of senior friendly product. In this study, we reviewed the definition and classification for senior friendly products, and reviewed some ergonomic evaluation methods. In the future, we will develop an ergonomic evaluation program for senior friendly product and carry out the evaluation and design for typical senior friendly products.
