Retrieval of propagation induced attenuation from radar derived accumulated differential phase measurements

A new methodology, which uses differential propagation phase, i.e., /spl Phi//sub DP/, measurements, for estimating and correcting attenuation effects in radar measurements, is suggested and tested with DLR radar data. The application of this method revealed stability and sensitivity to account for differential propagation effects of about 0.1 dB.<<ETX>>
