The theory and its application of determining working resistance of powered support in longwall with top-coal caving technology

The reserve analysis simulation method is put forward to determine the parameters in the theoretical formula, that is to determine related parameters in theoretical formula by FEM on the model obtained by FEM on the fore strata behavior, column figure and rock tested results, which is to calculate the working resistance of powered support in long wall with top coal caving technology. Based on the formula and in site measurements, another method named analogy statistic to calculate the working resistance of powered support is also presented,that is to determine main factors which affect working resistance in theoretical formula, then to get statistical and regression formula on the in site measurements. In the meantime, two examples are given in this paper.
