A terminal device having a built-in subscriber identification module and a profile selection method for the same are disclosed. A mobile communication terminal device may comprise: a subscriber identification module having profiles; a network authentication unit performing an authentication procedure for a communication network based on a provisioning profile among the profiles and receiving authentication complete information from a network company server of the communication network; a network connection unit connecting to the communication network based on the authentication complete information and receiving a service from the company server based on an operational profile corresponding to the communication network company among the profiles. The subscriber identification module may comprise: a first storage unit storing the provisioning profile having authentication information for the communication network; a second storage unit storing the operational profile having service access information to receive the service of the communication network; and an elementary file storage unit storing an elementary file having attribute information of the profiles to let a profile be chosen.
