Review of pattern shooting

Patterns of shot holes and patterns of seismometers are now standard technique in many areas currently being surveyed by the seismograph. This paper reviews some of these pattern arrangements and shows comparison records in a number of areas such as New Mexico, West Texas, western Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Florida. Although pattern shooting is definitely proven as a useful technique, it is not to be construed as a cure‐all for difficult shooting areas.
